No,I'm not on about hardcore fans at all...more the growing trend of people trying to outhardcore each other...I know you have always been into that stuff cos for 2 years you have been bringing me the cds to play,plus you will still talk to your 'non underground' friends....there are people that dont.

Can people stop being so vague and actually name names, cos frankly, i'm pretty unsure whether this actually goes on the extent that everyone seems to be going on about here.

Sure people sometimes latch on the cool bands or whatever to somehow validate their social position, but i don't think i've ever seen anyone ignore there dickhead mates cos they listen to Band X, i just think people like to rabbit on about how everyone is so fucking elitist when i don't think theres any sort of problem at all, as far as i see it, everyone in Grimsby is just as uncool as each other

Why do we need to name names????Surely that defeats the object...and true people dont fully turn their backs on friends cos of their musical tastes...but they certainly have less time for them and consider their opinions worthless and ill informed...and also arent open to making new friends...unless they are of a similar 'ilk'
A lot of us who have been around for a while now are at a stage where nothing matters except enjoying ourselves with people whos company we enjoy...rather than judging everything and everyone on a 'scene point' basis.
Conversations are so much more interesting when people are not discussing record labels for an hour or so (I'm not on about you or Lorgi...that was a progression)but there are a few people out there who will only listen to bands off label x and nothing else...thats fucking gay.
And people who dismiss music as shit...and do nothing but complain when it isnt aimed at them....just saying 'shit' when something popular comes on shows an unbelievable arrogance and brings down the mood for everyone else around you....Appreciate and consider your friends and aquaintances...that is what life is all about.
